Despite man's belief hell is not a realm that exist for the sole purpose of punishing mankind for their sins. Truth be told, hell existed long before man was even a spark of an idea inside their creator's mind. Hell was created by the darkness in much the same that heaven had been brought into existence by the light. It grew into a rich and complex society that was more than content to stay within their own realm, but than the light approached them with an offer they decided to accept. See, the light had decided to create within a realm named earth a race of beings he called man, and the darkness upon seeing these new creation decided to create her own she named the dark ones. The light and the darkness had thought their two children could live together upon earth in harmony, but it was not to be. Man feared the darkness and anything born of her, and any attempt to diminish these fear failed. Over time this fear turned to hatred until they ended up killing the king and queen of the dark ones. Enraged the light took the sun away from man, and made it clear that as long as man harbor such hatred within their hearts that the sun would remain out of their grasp.
The years following the removal of the sun had the results that the light help for. Man came to believe that the dark ones were not evil beings that needed to be destroyed. Eventually, they came to worship them as deities. It was not long after this that things started to go down hell for man. It is said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absoluely, whether or not one believes in the truth behind this saying, the dark ones became a good example of the saying brought to life. Angels, whom the light have put in charge of protecting man, tried their best to continue to do as they were commanded but without the sun they found the task to be quite difficult. They were children of the light whom found any extended amount of time within the dark hazardous to their health. Knowing they could not ask the light to return the sun, angels pleaded with him to find another way to protect their charges, and upon hearing their request the light decided to travel to hell in order to see if he could employ its denizens as men's protector.
An agreement was struck, and for awhile everything was good. However, just like the dark ones before them demons begun to mistreat and abuse their charges. It was starting to see that this was going to be the fate of man, but than a human by the name of Sara Jean climbed to the top of the tallest mountain and asked the light to give them a tool that man can use to defend themselves.The light moved by her request decided to return the sun. Things, however, did not improve as much as was hoped. The sun's return did cause the dark ones to retreat into another realm, but its ray seemed to have no effect upon demons. The angels thought this was no big deal with the sun being back they could stay upon the earth indefinitely without any dire consequences. War broke out between angel and demons, and it soon became clear that demons had the upper hand. Not wanting demons to emerge victories the light decided to bring a being he named Sol into existence that he believed would turn the tides.
Sol preformed her duties as expected for some time, but than a demon killed her love. Grief stricken Sol changed from a being of justice into one of vengeance. It lead to many demons being slaughtered for nothing more than being what they were. Eventually, Sol summoned a meeting with the light and the king of hell. It was during this meeting that the covenant of heaven and hell was made. The Covenant states that earth is the realm of man and there is rules for how the supernatural are to act within the realm of man and the punishment for breaking these rules. The creation of the covenant help get man out from beneath the control of their tyrannical overlords and create their own societies. Time allowed man to forget what the world had been like before their kingdom rose as well as the fact they were not the only sentient beings that walks the earth.
It was not long after this that Sivan came screaming into the world. His father was a powerful demon lord, and his mother was the very example of what a female demon should be like. When he was eight his mother died giving birth to his sister, but in spite that life was good. They were one happy family. Sivan's father adored his children, and it was clear that his children shared his affection--especially Sivan, whom could often be found following his father around and absorbing his traits and habits like a sponge. There were those whom tried to convince his father to marry again, but his father would hear nothing of it. There was only one woman whom he desired as a wife and until she found herself being reborn he would not take another. Some thought that if they gave him time to mourn that he might reconsider his stance, but an ambitious demon lord whom thought that he could gain power by marrying his daughter to Sivan's father decided that the better way to achieve what he sought was killing Sivan's father and seizing control over his lands and everything that went with it.
Sivan was twelve years old when this other demon slaughtered his father right in front of him. The only thing Sivan could think of as his father was dying was the horrors that awaited his sister once his father's killer seized control of his father's estate, and how he couldn't sit idly by and allow such a fate to befall his sister. So, he challenged his father's killer to a duel. This amused the older demon, whom decided to accept Sivan's challenge. He thought that he would beat the snot out of Sivan and when the boy's wounds heal he would know his place. This, however, ended up not being the case. Sivan won the duel and ended up slaying his father's murderer. He knew that he could not allow the older demon to live. It wasn't because he sought revenge against this demon for killing his father. He knew these things happen, and his father wouldn't want him to seek revenge for his sake. No, it was to protect his sister. Sivan knew this other demon would not stop attacking him until he gained control over the very things he had killed Sivan's father for.
He took control over his father's estate and proved that despite his young age that he wasn't a push over. Through, after his fight with his father's killer many believed he was more than capable of running his own estate and protecting it against any invaders. Sivan took responsibility of his sister's upbringing, which proved to be a challenge. While Sivan was composed and dispensed his sister was not. Sivan's sister was an extremely curious child whose curiosity only seemed to grow as she became older. While his sister grew more curious Sivan became more disillusioned by the life as a demon lord. He wanted nothing more to flee hell and live a simple life within the human realm, and soon it became clear that his sister's curious nature would be his ticket. His plan went something like this: His sister would find her way into the human realm in spite him telling her to remain in Hell, and during her time there she will receive news about a group of angels nearby. Having never encounter an angel before she would naturally be drawn to this camp, and will find her way to where the angels had gathered.
This group of angel would attack his sister--nothing serious--just knock her around a bit. Sivan would come to her rescue, tell her to go home--a request that she will ignore--and he will find himself being killed by the angels. He thought everything would go exactly as he planned it. He believed he knew exactly how his sister would react, and since the group of angels whom would be involved in the incident were his friends he didn't think any part of the plan would be derailed by them. How wrong had he been. The group of angels decided to hurt his sister more than was agreed. Worse, they decided to rape her. Sivan became outraged and attacked the angels before the decided moment. The ensuing fight was short lived because as soon as Sivan threw his first punch the leader of the angels knocked him out cold. The blow was done in such a way that it would look like he had been killed to an outside observer.
The angel than took his body and vanished with it as per their arrangement. Sivan awoke a few days later to find the leader of the angels sitting next to him. Sivan leapt to his feet with every intention of attacking the angel that sat before him. This only appeared to amuse the angel, but he apologized for what they had done to his sister, but they needed everything make everything as realistic as possible. In the end, Sivan got his wish. He was free to live within the human realm as he desired. Sivan realizing that his friend had spoken the truth. claimed down. He still wasn't pleased with the injuries his sister had acquired during the attack, but since his friend assured him that his sister was no worse for wear he could forgive the angels for going overboard.

Sivan set up a cabin within one of the many mountains on earth. He travels to the local village to teach the children there how to fight as well as to purchase supplies he might need. However, he mostly keeps to himself. The curious has found their way to his cabin, and he has taken several lovers over the course of the years he had been living within that cabin. The only being he knows from his previous life is the angel leader, but he tells Sivan nothing of the news from hell--as per Sivan's request. Instead, he visit for the sake of friendship and he tells Sivan of his exploits among other things.
